Shorthand Passage from Dawn Editorial 10.11.2021 | Dictated in the APS test in the Council of Islamic Ideology on 10.11.2021

This Shorthand Passage is prepared from the Dawn Editorial "Win for Journalists" dated 10.11.2021 which was also dictated in the Assistant Private Secretary (APS) BPS-16 test in the Council of Islamic Ideology. The Shorthand test for APS is normally dictated @ 100 wpm speed and dictation period is from 3 to 5 minutes having 300 to 500 words and after dictation it has to be transcribed within a half hour or more.

Paragraphs for Shorthand tests are normally taken from Newspapers mostly from The Dawn "Editorial" OR from 700 Common Words Book. For preparation of these Shorthand tests after completing Pitman Shorthand Book (New Course) OR Pitman Shorthand Book (Old Course), do practice from 700 Common Words as well as from newspaper passages. In Pakistan Shorthand is a good subject to get Government Job on merit with educational qualification from Intermediate level to Masters Degree. You can get Government Job of BPS-14/15, 16, 17 and even 18 on the basis of your educational qualifications with Shorthand and Typing Skills besides knowledge of Computer (MS Office etc).

Shorthand has a very good scope in Pakistan. So if you have completed your education OR just passed Intermediate level education then do start shorthand course as soon as possible.
